MISSION STATEMENT
CHIROPRACTIC and ACUPUNCTURE WORKS! WHAT IS CHIROPRACTIC? "The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease." - Thomas Edison Chiropractic is a science, art, and philosophy that concerns itself with the relationship between the nervous system and function (health) of the body. Chiropractic is based on the scientific fact that your nervous system controls the function of every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body! The chiropractic approach to better health is to detect, reduce and prevent nervous system dysfunction (subluxation). My Chiropractor emphasizes natural and preventative health care. WHAT IS ACUPUNCTURE? Acupuncture is a procedure where very fine needles are placed just below the skin surface in different parts of the body called "acupuncture points." These points are areas of designated electrical sensitivity that have been shown to be effective in the treatment of specific health problems. Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and improve function. It originated in China more than 3,000 years ago and has spread to other countries such as Korea, Japan, Vietnam, and to Europe and America. Acupuncture has been
used for centuries to treat a wide variety of medical conditions. Specific
foundations and agencies including the World Health Organization promote
the feeling that acupuncture is appropriate for treating sinus problems,
asthma, bronchitis, and disorders of pain including tennis elbow, sciatica,
low back pain, and rheumatoid arthritis. Additionally, acupuncture is
appropriate for headaches, trigeminal neuralgia and other neurological
and painful conditions. |
